So you've decided it's time. What time? Baby time! Whether you're just thinking about it, have decided to go for it, or are already pregnant, it's time to hop on the baby makin' train. All aboard!
Here's a little secret we'll let you in on: Week one starts when your period starts. Yep--you're not pregnant yet! Keep the date your period starts in mind, and you're on your way. Your expected due date is calculated from the first day of your last period, so congratulations girl, you're already in week 1!
There are many things to think about before getting pregnant. Now's the time to stop taking chemical birth control, if you haven't already. Also, talk to your doctor about any prescriptions you might be taking, as they may affect your cycle, fertility, or pregnancy.
Also, even though you're not a pregnant woman yet, start thinking like you are! Stop drinking alcohol and smoking. Watch your nutrition. If you are taking any drugs, stop, stop, stop!
